MPH with Occupational and Environmental Medicine Residency with UCSF

At the UCSF Occupational and Environmental Medicine Training Program

This two-year program offers students training in occupational and environmental epidemiology, public policy, environmental health sciences, health behavior, health education, biostatistics, ergonomics, industrial hygiene and toxicology. Students attend classes and conduct research while participating in clinical activities in occupational and environmental medicine at UCSF.

In the first year, fellows obtain a master’s in Public Health at UC Berkeley. The second year focuses on supervised practical training and involves training time in clinics; local, state, federal or international governmental agencies; NGOs; academic; consulting; and industry settings.

Physicians who already have an MPH may apply for entry directly into the second year of the training program.
