UC Berkeley Public Health surges to No. 6 in U.S. News Rankings
In the Top 10 for Environmental and Community Health, Epidemiology, and Health Policy & Management
The UC Berkeley School of Public Health has once again excelled in school rankings released today by U.S. News & World Report, placing it as No. 6 (tied with UCLA and Columbia) out of 219 Master of Public Health programs in the U.S. accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health. In 2025, the school was ranked at No. 8.
The rankings are based on the results of peer assessment surveys sent to deans, other administrators, or faculty at accredited degree programs or schools.
U.S. News also ranked five master’s level specialties. UC Berkeley Public Health’s program rankings are:
- No. 8 Social Behavior (tracks to Community Health Sciences)
- No. 9 Environmental Health Sciences
- No. 9 Epidemiology (up from No. 10 in 2025)
- No. 9 Health Policy & Management (up from No. 12 in 2025)
- No. 11 Biostatistics (up from No. 12 in 2025)
