COVID-19 impacts on low wage workers
May 4, 11:40 am – 12:30 pm PDT
Learn about the findings from a ground-breaking survey of over 600 Chinese and Spanish speaking low wage workers in California. We found that employers are not providing enough information, workplace protections, or paid sick leave, and that workers are hesitant to report problems for fear of retaliation. Project leads from the Asian Law Caucus and UCB’s Labor Occupational Health Program will discuss the survey findings and recommendations, as well as our collaboration with community-based organizations.
