DICE Film Club Discussion: Hughes’ Harlem Dream
February 25 @ 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm PST

In observation of Black History Month, DICE invites you to a film screening and discussion of Hughes’ Harlem Dream, a documentary about Langston Hughes and his impact on the Harlem Renaissance! We’ll watch the movie asynchronously on Kanopy, and come together for a virtual conversation.
Please register for our virtual discussion. Until then, enjoy the following words from Harlem’s Poet Laureate:
What happens to a dream deferred? Does it dry up like a raisin in the sun? Or fester like a sore— And then run? Does it stink like rotten meat? Or crust and sugar over— like a syrupy sweet? Maybe it just sags like a heavy load. Or does it explode?
– Langston Hughes
