From Mines to Grocery Stores: Occupational Epidemiology and Protecting Worker Health

Dr. Sadie Costello

Dr. Sadie Costello will present some of her research, which ranges from methodological work on data covering the workplace exposures and health of manufacturing workers and miners to, more recently, collaborations with unions in California to study the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on essential workers. Leveraging information ranging from large collections of administrative data to anonymous surveys, Dr. Costello will discuss how occupational epidemiology can be used to protect worker health into the future.
