The UCLA Bixby Center and the UCLA Center of Excellence on Maternal & Child Health are teaming up to host an online symposium on May 6th titled, “Dont Treat me Bad: Maternal Health in Today’s America.”  We have a great lineup of events and speakers for this day, all on maternal health topics! See the poster below for more information. We hope you can all join us for one or all events!

  • Our day event kicks off with a keynote address from UC Berkeley School of Public Health Dean, Michael Lu, MD, MS, MPH, followed by featured student research presentations.
  • At noon, join our Bixby Journal Club discussion on Understanding Latinas’ Sexual and Reproductive Care-Seeking.
  • Finally, end the day with the announcement of our Poster Contest winners and a viewing party of the documentary film “the AMERICAN dream”.
