Speaker: Hector Rodriguez, PhD
Come to learn about how physician practices in the U.S. are developing capabilities, such as health information technology and chronic care management programs, and how these capabilities are associated with quality and costs of care. These practice capabilities can enable organizational resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic. We will discuss telehealth implementation and chronic care management during the COVID-19 pandemic and the high variability in practices’ responses to providing chronic care management. Dr. Rodriguez will also describe his research team’s plans to conduct a natural experiment examining how physician practice capabilities (pre-COVID-19) enable practice resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic.
