Berkeley Public Health launches free course on managing the COVID pandemic

Nine-hour free online course offers you a broad and deep introduction on how and why the virus spread and what we can do about it

Take a free comprehensive crash course on the COVID-19 pandemic, taught by UC Berkeley experts. This nine-hour online course—Managing the COVID Pandemic: A Comprehensive Crash Course for Everyone offered by Berkeley Public Health—will give you comprehensive knowledge on how and why the COVID-19 pandemic has spread and how we can manage it, including an analysis of proven interventions.

In this course, UC Berkeley faculty with a wide range of expertise deliver more than 20 easy-to-understand, 20-minute lectures addressing essential topics related to COVID-19, from the history of pandemics and how pandemic modeling works to the mechanisms of COVID-19 spread and proven interventions.

In the final section of the course, experts cover how organizations and individuals are coping, and look at the range of potential health and economic impacts of this pandemic.

This course is vital for those who work in an institutional setting—schools, businesses, government, community-based organizations, and NGOs—and need a broad overview of how the current pandemic is affecting us all and what to do about it.
