Thanks for a great Big Give
Today, we offer a huge thank you!
Once again, the UC Berkeley School of Public Health community has come together to support our school, students, and mission!
We appreciate everyone who supported the school leading up to and during Big Give! We raised roughly $750,000 and we are still counting!
This includes generous matching gifts from Cathy Garza and Robert Doty and Georgia Lee ’76 and George Shenk for our Public Health Opportunity Fund, Paul Hofmann and an anonymous donor for our DrPH program, Anne Germanacos for our JMP program, Professor John Balmes and Professor Emeritus Robert “Bob” Spear for the Environmental Health Sciences Fund, and Professor John Balmes for the Kirk R. Smith Faculty Impact Fund, among others.
We also received a $200,000 lead gift to our Changemaker program from Jerry Cacciotti and Wai Poc, and over $300,000 in support for our Global Health Fellows from Ed Brakeman and others.
In addition to the lead and matching gifts, a main point of Big Give is participation. This year we received over 300 gifts, many from first time supporters of Berkeley Public Health. Thank you for embracing the joy of giving and for standing with our school to make the world healthier for everyone.
