For Public Health undergraduates, there is an information session offered each semester with the Undergraduate Faculty Advisor and Program Managers. Any student that qualifies for the program can contact an advisor at sphug@berkeley.edu for more information.

Applicants who are not admitted to the 4+1 MPH program may be directed by an advisor to a similar two-year program at Berkeley Public Health. Applicants can indicate their interest in being considered for a two-year MPH program at the time they apply.

Note: Limited space is available in the three 4+1 MPH programs, the two-year MPH program offers additional areas of concentration and should be considered by any student interested in pursuing graduate training in public health. Application Timeline

Students will apply to the 4+1 MPH during the Fall of their senior year by the Priority Deadline. The Priority Deadline is usually in the first week of December. If a student is graduating early, their senior year will be their final year as an undergraduate at UC Berkeley.

The SOPHAS Application and UC Berkeley Graduate Application open in August and September respectively. Both applications must be completed and submitted to apply to a 4+1 MPH Program.
