Concurrent MPP/MPH

Master of Public Policy / Master of Public Health with the Goldman School of Public Policy

Students may pursue a concurrent degree program in the Public Policy and Health Policy Management, which requires approximately three years to complete. The program combines the development of basic policy skills with an in-depth understanding of health policy in the public and private sectors.

From the ACA to the FDA, to issues of equity and access, the health policy realm is highly visible and complex. It is for students who want to master the analytical skills that support policy analysis and decision-making, as well as gain a deeper understanding of key healthcare issues.

Curriculum

You can complete the MPP/MPH concurrent degree program in as few as five semesters, balancing core requirements and elective courses across the two schools. The program provides access to faculty mentoring and career services from both schools and also offers the opportunity for students to participate in two summer internships.

Admissions

Applicants to this program must complete a UC Berkeley Graduate application. You need to indicate MPP/MPH on the forms so that materials are routed to both schools for admissions review.
