Berkeley Public Health No. 8 in new U.S. News Rankings

The UC Berkeley School of Public Health has excelled in the prestigious 2022 rankings released today by U.S. News & World Report, placing it No. 8 in the country, tied with Boston University. Berkeley Public Health moved up from the No. 9 spot in 2019, the last time the rankings were released.

These rankings are conducted every three years and are determined based on the results of peer assessment surveys sent to deans, other administrators or faculty at 188 accredited degree programs or schools of public health.

UC Berkeley and its graduate programs have consistently scored in the Top Ten in the US News rankings (UC Berkeley graduate programs get high honors in new U.S. News rankings), and the recent rankings are no different:

  • #1 Department of Sociology
  • #3 College of Engineering
  • #4 Goldman School of Public Policy
  • #4 Department of Political Science
  • # 7 Haas School of Business
  • #7 Department of Economics
  • #8 Berkeley Public Health
