Biography

Dan Zeltzer is an Associate Professor of Health Economics in the Division of Health Policy and Management at the UC Berkeley School of Public Health. His research focuses on how digital technologies, including telemedicine, AI, and connected medical devices, are transforming the delivery and organization of healthcare. He also studies how physician networks shape technology diffusion and patient care patterns.

Before joining Berkeley, Zeltzer was a tenured faculty member at the Berglas School of Economics at Tel Aviv University and a Koret Visiting Scholar at Stanford’s Department of Economics and the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR). His research has been published in leading journals such as The Review of Economics and Statistics, Journal of Health Economics, and Annals of Internal Medicine. He serves as an associate editor at the Journal of Health Economics. He is a Research Fellow at IZA and CESifo, an invited researcher at J-PAL North America.
